Sublime seduction: how I reach senior buyers

27 July 2026 · 1 min read

I call my LinkedIn strategy sublime seduction. Slow, no ask, no pressure.

I don't pitch first, I don't send cold emails, and there's never a pitch in my connection request.

What I do instead is show up in the right places, consistently, until my name becomes familiar before I reach out.

If the target is C-level, I follow before I connect. I don't send anything yet.

I just start commenting on their posts.

Something that shows I really read what they wrote, more than a "great post".

A related deal I worked on. A different angle on their point. A short story that adds to the conversation.

Two or three weeks pass. My name shows up in their notifications from different directions.

They see me on their posts, on mutual connections' posts, sometimes replying to their comments elsewhere.

Then the InMail lands. And it gets opened.

By the time I reach out, I'm not a stranger asking for something from them. I'm someone they've already seen thinking out loud in their world.

Most sellers connect and pitch in the same message. They burn the relationship before it starts. The buyer feels hunted, not respected, and the door closes in front of you.

My clients want to know the secret to getting responses from senior buyers.

Well, this is it. You don't chase them. You build a relationship first.

Sublime seduction is patience turned into positioning.

Commenting better than you post. Showing up before you ask. So when you finally reach out, they already know your name.
